Sam + Hunter met during law school, and there was no debate about it; they were meant to be. When it came time to tie the knot, the couple wanted e a celebration that was both elegant + classic, yet still an upbeat celebration. The busy couple came to En Vogue with a great vision, and together we created a day that surpassed their expectations!

The couple decided to host their reception at the historic Julia Ideson Library Building, which had the perfect sophisticated feel. The courtyard outside, with blooming landscaping and sprawling oak trees was the ideal space for cocktail hour, while the upstairs of library was used for a seated dinner + dancing.

The magnificent reading room in the second story of the library, with wooden bookshelves + tall arching windows lining the walls, gave us a unique background for the reception space. A long head table was placed in the center of the room, capped in a glitzy overlay, and surrounded by a combination of round + rectangle guest tables, dressed in champagne linen. A mix of antique, gold candelabras, trumpet vases topped with ivory + blush floral and greenery, and mercury glass candlesticks topped each table. With the soft color palette + the glow of candlelight, the already dreamy reading room felt even more warm + romantic.

Following dinner, guests made their way into the library’s Tudor Gallery; an elaborate room with an ornate, vaulted ceiling. Here guests danced the night away to music by a live band. After plenty of cake, dancing + even a singing performance by the groom, Sam + Hunter exited their dreamy evening through a sparkler lined pathway, and into an antique Rolls Royce.
