Here at En Vogue, we decided to jump on the “new year, new you” bandwagon and get ourselves into shape in 2017! (If only we could kick the Starbucks/Red Bull habit at our office!) With brides always asking us for personal training recommendations to help get them wedding day ready, we figured doing some hands-on workout research would be the best way to kick off our healthy new year’s resolutions AND find some workout gurus for our clients!

Cue Tony Dobson with Fitness State of Mind. I’m telling you, Tony is what’s been missing from your fitness routine! Not only does he do personal training, but he also provides clients with nutrition counseling. Tony offers both individual and small group sessions, and is available for training in your own home or gym.

After En Vogue’s group session with Tony, we were definitely feeling the burn! Tony tailored a workout just to us, and the thirty minute session fit perfectly into our busy schedules. To reach your 2017 fitness goals and to set up your own session with Fitness State of Mind, reach out to Tony at Tdobson61@gmail.com!

This past May, En Vogue had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the annual NACE Wedding Trends. Even more exciting was that our owner, Savanna, was named one of the three event co-chairs. Under her direction, an amazing event came together! Wedding Trends was designed to educate NACE members on current industry trends, and is also the organization’s biggest fundraising event of the year.

This year was the event’s 10th anniversary, so it was designed to be the biggest and best program yet! To celebrate this milestone, the theme was “honoring the past, treasuring the present and shaping the future.” The event was designed so that the cocktail hour represented past trends, the dinner and speaker portion of the program represented the present, and the after party represented the future. Each portion of the program had its own separate space and unique design. The color palette also progressed throughout the evening with the past space starting out in black, white and gray, the present incorporating metallic and a muted colors, and the future bringing in bright colors.

Making the event even more special was the keynote speaker, celebrity wedding planner, Mindy Weiss. Mindy participated in a meet and greet and book signing with VIP guests, and then shared her take on the current wedding trends during the program portion of the event.

Modern Luxury Weddings Houston is hands down one of our favorite wedding publications! With beautiful +  unique ideas, and a wide range of Houston area vendors, it is a great resource for bride-to-be’s!

After getting our hands on the magazine’s Spring/Summer issue last week, we were so excited to see En Vogue featured on several pages! Pick your copy up today, or click here to view the digital version!

Just before the holidays, the En Vogue ladies attended the annual NACE Awards. We were blown away to have won four awards, which were voted on by fellow industry partners! Awards included: Table Presentation of the Year, Synergy Award and Wedding of the Year. Additionally, our owner, Savanna Gray, was presented an award for the amazing work she did as co-chair of the 2016 Wedding Trends! We are so giddy to have been honored by NACE!

This year, we had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the Wade Smith Foundation’s Inaugural Bedtime Stories event. The foundation, started by former Texans player, Wade Smith, raises funds for community youth programs specializing in literacy and education in the Dallas/Fort Worth, and greater Houston areas.

Bedtime Stories was held at Cle Houston, and featured a star-studded celebrity fashion show atop the venue’s pool, live entertainment and live and silent auctions. A show stopping clear runway was built over the pool so that it appeared as if the models were walking on water. As a backdrop for the runway, a huge tree was brought in, and the branches were strung with children’s books. The event was a huge success, and we can’t wait to see it grow in the years to come!
